The development at 7 Crombie Street is planned to be reused as Artist Live/Work housing.  The ambition for the project is multi-fold in that it provides housing at a price point lower than what the Salem downtown marketplace offers and provides impetus to enhance the artistic community in Salem for cultural and economic benefit.

The individual condominiums are designed to provide flexible open space with large volumes needed for a variety of artistic media and format. Common areas for art displays will be provided in some existing spaces that lend themselves to the gallery function; these common spaces will be an amenity shared by the community living at Blue Stone Alley.
