Spire, a state of the art printing company, proposed to locate their headquarters in this former industrial site in between residences and the MBTA Red Line and Expressway.

The two-story building houses offices and pre-press on the second floor and printing and warehouse space on the first floor.

The design intent was to incorporate the building into the neighborhood through siting, landscaping, massing and use of materials.  Residentially scaled segments alternately protruding and recessing on the front and changing in expression on the side break up the massing of this 80,000 SF building - a direct response to neighborhood concerns.
